With a normal espresso maker, you measure out the coffee grounds (gunpowder), pour them into the chamber, tamp them down, then pull the trigger/make the coffee.
With a K-cup, you just put in a capsule and fire away.
American trying to explain how to make coffee: “Imagine a gun”
Regular coffee machines are like smash burgers, whereas k-cups are like those pre-frozen white castle sliders you get in the freezer aisle.
I mean, they’re also very similar in their use and design. There’s a breech you load. You load it with something that enables one use. That one thing is comprised of a casing with powder in it. When the function of the machine is triggered, something comes out of the machine, because of the thing you loaded into it. As far as shower thoughts go, this one is actually pretty well thought out.
K-cups are an excellent way to get maximum plastic consumption IMO. Fuck that shit.
I wouldn’t call an Espresso machine a “regular coffee machine”. That would be more like some kind of drip machine.
Espresso is very different from regular coffee.
But you get the upvote because it’s a good shower thought.
This is what the Black Rifle Coffee company wants people to believe
Whenever I see that name, I think they’re missing a word. Is it supposed to be Black Powder Rifle Coffee company?
No. “Black rifle” is an umbrella term loosely referring to modern, lightweight, polymer or aluminum-frame rifles that became common starting around the 1960s.
Sources differ, but some sources claim it’s a reference to the name the Vietnamese gave the M16 during the Vietnam War, which translates literally back into English as “black rifle”. It’s worth noting that none of the sources I could find which make this claim provide the original, Vietnamese name.
I like my moka pot. No tamping and solid extraction, like a single shot break barrel shotgun.
everything is gun now!
Lmao. Not bad, actually. To put a finer point on it, I’d say Keurigs are a Springfield Model 1873. It’s a trapdoor, breech-loading rifle, among the earliest rifles to utilize a cartridge.
The Native Americans developed a (VERY effective) strategy or drawing out a volley of musket fire, then charging in while everyone was reloading. This rifle invalidated that strategy.
