You know how, today, we take inspiration or look up to “classic” films like The Godfather and The Shawshank Redemption? Well, what did people in the 80s/90s look up to? 70s movies? Black and white movies? What were seen as classics back then?

    Lately I viewed Close encounters of the 3rd kind. Hasn’t been my cup of tea. Boring plot.

    But I’ve liked the time dilation aspect. The previously missing didn’t age. Maybe their velocity was so high relative to Earth’s velocity before landing on Earth. Maybe they were near a supermassive black hole. Maybe both?

    It’s a flick so maybe it was magic, not time dilation.
