        The first time I read it, I got invested in the stupid story and forgot it was a joke and I got to the end and I was delightfully outraged. lol

          It’s both of these things - I had a quick look and scrolled to the bottom. It was the one I was thinking of. The final pun is based on pronouncing “lever” like “levver” instead of “leever”.

              I suspect some small town in the UK somewhere definitely does that.
