Where I live it’s solar, hydro and wind. No fossil or nuclear required. I don’t get why people like nuclear. It’s expensive, slow to build, produces waste and keeps countries hostage with its radium requirements.
Not every country can have hydro. In your case, hydro fills the role that nuclear would fill. When nuclear is not an option and hydro is not available that role is being filled by gas and coal.
