The post doesn’t say anything about feasibility/safety, so unless you can find dragon tamers for hire and a dragon-proof construction company, you’d likely end up dead and/or with an escaped dragon.
Also, it was about any pet in the world, so I guess that requires dragons to exist somewhere, sounds like a gamble on if they do…
You say all that like my safety is a concern. Yeah I want a dragon, yeah I don’t care if it eats me. Either it’s a cool dragon and my best friend or it’s an evil dragon and I get to unleash it upon the world. I’m not seeing a downside.
Dragons are also usually sapient, meaning it can’t be a pet, just a slave.
