Now that there is some accountability in the USA, when will the arrest warrants be issued for all the ICE criminals?

    Lol wut?

The Department of Justice is still owned by Trump.

The best we can hope for is for the Democrats to propose a bill cutting ICE’s funding, for Trump to veto it and then the government shuts down. What happens after that I dunno, but I don’t expect such a budget shutdown to occur until 2027 at the earliest.

Now that there is some accountability in the USA

Even if I was charitable about the existence of the Democratic Party’s political will to hold ICE accountable…it literally has not happened yet. Losing an election is not holding anyone from ICE accountable.

But also…ICE existed under Obama and Biden, and except for a few shrewd political operators, most Democratic politicians won’t even pay lip service to ICE abolition or even accountability beyond reversing Trump’s specific changes.

when will the arrest warrants be issued for all the ICE criminals?

When AmeriKKKa stops being a white supremacist settler-colonial Nazi country, i.e. only after its abolition will justice be served, if any of us are still alive by then…

The judicial and executive branch are still Republican, and the executive branch has literally ignored and defied the legislative branch throughout both terms.

    So it’ll be a while.

As the clocks struck midnight last night, the republican house and senate members screamed in horror as their atoms phased out of place in Washington DC and returned to their home states in the same instance that their screams were replaced by those of their democratic replacements phasing into their places in congress.

This outburst was soon replaced with confident smirks as they too knew accountability and governance had returned to the Capitol.

Putting Trump in a lame duck session is a positive, as it partially stymies how much worse things can get, but I don’t really expect the material conditions of the working class to change all that much nor will the experiences of those affected by the imperial oppressive apparatus such as ICE. If the DNC can maintain a hold over the legislature and win the executive in two years, they might get nicer prisons, which, admittedly, is a change in their material conditions.
