Unmatched someone: I was talking about how the movie Avatar is a blatant allegory for native/indigenous populations and the person got offended that I would “put real life events into a movie about blue people”
Been unmatched: the person had a series of 4 almost identical selfies but each one had different anime boys edited in as if they were hanging out (amazing bit. Perfect joke) and my opening line was “i hate when people have only group photos. It makes it so difficult to tell when one I matched with”. I was called an idiot and unmatched within 5 minutes.

In her introduction she made it a point to mention that she’s an INTP and wanted to know what type I was. I simply said that those types of personality tests aren’t really my thing. I got a reply back, something to the effect of “Well thanks for showing up front what a toxic and hateful human being you are!”
So yeah guys, sorry about being so toxic and hateful for not being into personality tests.
lol that’s so stupid.
And the Myers-Briggs isn’t even a good one. Those two ladies just made it the fuck up during World War 2, based on some Carl Jung book. It has no predictive power.

While I agree those ladies were a bunch of loonies, I don’t think the test is supposed to be predictive (this is how you will be), rather descriptive (this is how you are).
Although I’ve had this same argument with people over the function of dictionaries being descriptive (this is how words are used) rather than prescriptive (this is how you should use words).
I don’t think this is comparable to descriptivism and prescriptivism in linguistics.
The predictive power of a classification doesn’t have anything to do chronological order of what you are now and how you will develop, but about if knowing one thing (the MBTI) allows to deduce another (age, socioeconomic status, interests, vocational suitability, whatever). In other words predictive power is about correlations and testable outcomes.
If a psychological test leads to a result that does not predict other statistical values about a person, it does not actually capture anything that person is, at least nothing that’s verifiable or falsifiable.
And if it’s not verifiable or falsifiable we might as well use zodiac signs.
You MONSTER!
Pretty emotional for a T
Pretty judgemental for a P.
Lol, I used to work for a big corporation which made these tests (16 personalities in specific) mandatory during job training. After I debunked that shite as bogus I got the afternoon off.
I worked for one of those companies that paid like 15k per employee to spend like half a day figuring out which of 5 types you are. Somehow I got all 5 and confused quite a few people.
Even if you were, you’d probably still get rejected for not being whatever arbitrary letter combination she was looking for.
Even if I wanted to play along, I wouldn’t be able to answer immediately and have to take the test just to find out.
16 Pesonalities probably? It depends on your mood of course, which answers you choose. But given that, and two runs, the two profiles were surprisingly accurate in my case. Even learned a few new things about myself. If you take it with a grain of salt, it’s not a bad thing.
This person took it too seriously, obviously.
Depends on moods, and also, many people have issues at making the difference between what someone is and what they’d like to be. Like many people want to be helpful, but not many are helpful outside their own social circle. (Which is fine, but not the same as being helpful towards everyone.)
