Just wondering as i feel each platform has its pros and cons but toxic-ness seems to be everywhere? is there a way to avoid most of toxic online? or is that not possible?

I don’t know if I could say Lemmy as a whole, but if you take a few seconds to block toxicity when you see it, you’ll eventually have a pretty sterile environment.

It’s made the experience so much better with the free tagging. A little bit of time labeling trolls in bright red makes it pretty clear that only a few are the problem. Then you find out they mod the subreddit they spam to, and ban you for down voting their posts. The trash takes itself out.
