I like the idea of AI, as in an actual intelligence made by human hands. Everything we currently have that is called AI is not the kind of AI I am interested in. And the kind of AI being foisted upon the general public is, by and large, the worst kind of tech with the AI moniker. At least NPCs in a video game simulate intelligence, or try to, without actually being intelligent. Generative LLM type AI doesn’t even simulate intelligence. It simulates language.
