Used to take KSM-66 Ashwagandha(500mg). Recently started caffiene l-theanine in 1:2 ratio twice a day. It’s effects are pretty noticeable but it does make me kinda gassy. Or is it just me? What do you guys take if y’all even take any?

333g boiling hot water filtered through 20g finely ground and lightly roasted C. Arabica once a day every morning like clockwork.

It’s effects are noticeable and it’s a pretty popular stack for millions of people but with slight tweaks to account for individual preferences. It doesn’t make me gassy but I do feel more attentive and ambitious which is a common refrain from others on this particular stack.

I do hear reports of bowel stimulation from many folks on the stack but I don’t personally experience this side effect.

I dont condone being a dick but nootropics are kinda a heated topic bc it leads into a load of underresurched drug use a witch can be damaging to ur body and mind and it also feeds a pretty evil industry :/

In that case I feel like it’s best to argue that rather than just conveying the inner arsehole. Perhaps there’s a productive discussion to be had here.

The most effective supplement with the biggest impact I’ve ever tried is plain old magnesium oxide (the expensive forms are a waste of money, and you’ll actually absorb less elemental magnesium from them. Just take the oxide form with a meal to avoid the shits).

It’s difficult to get enough magnesium in most diets, and I found that ensuring adequate magnesium intake had the effect of making my mind just feel sharper (that effect is especially prominent if you’re supplementing vitamin-D as well, since that tends to use up magnesium in its conversion process, IIRC).

nothing else has had such a noticeable, non-placebo benefit (except Vitamin D if you’re deficient, which will make you crazy depressed without getting sun or supplementing).

    I do, actually.

Coffee every morning (about 3 hours after waking on weekdays, earlier on weekends) and Nicotinamide Riboside at lunchtime. Creatine some years. For like 15 years now. Ashwagandha (and most vasodilators) are a migraine trigger for me. L-Theanine I didn’t notice any effect.

Just creatine for me. People say it works, and I think I feel less groggy when I’m on it, but in the end it’s very hard to tell. At least it has physical benefits at the gym, so it’s not wasted. Makes me retain water like crazy tho.
