This happened just an hour ago or so. Went in to a local grocery shop and grabbed some carrots, oranges and bananas. Paid in cash and went out my way to put everything in my bicycle’s panniers and… there she was going in her own bicycle. It was like in the Fellowship of the Ring when the hobbits see Arwen. At that very instant I saw her face my jaw dropped, almost literally, and I think she noticed I was mesmerized or something because she did a gesture of like trying to look my way but doing a gesture of “what a creep” or something. After 5 seconds or so she was gone and most probably I won’t ever see her again.

How do you get over something like that? I’m still so mesmerized I can’t believe a human being so ridiculously gorgeous can exist in the same plane as an ugly weirdo like me.

You should have talked to her dude. If it was a pleasant experience, why do you ask if you’ll forget it?

I mean my wife is already out of my league so I don’t need to fantasize about the absolute most beutiful girl in the world stumbling into me if she is even on this continent. Im pretty old to so she would likely be like some prime beuty age or something and way to young for me. So I would not be surprised if I did not even notice her.

That is funny to me; I love seeing beautiful people but they don’t stun me like that, I can’t really be attracted to someone I’ve not met. And I couldn’t define a “most beautiful” because there are just so many different ways to be beautiful.

Oh you become an adult that is aware of the fact that beauty means nothing in the face of love and support. Over time, that beauty becomes a deterrent to your needs.

See more of them. There’s a lot of pretty people.

Go to any big city, preferably in a different country or area where people look ever so slightly different or have different fashion. You’ll see that there’s basically infinite many beautiful people.

I have met enough very attractive people with terrible opinions that, for me, beauty and desire are largely decoupled. Get to know her first- she might make getting over her very easy.

The heart wants what the heart wants.

The question you are asking is do you follow your heart. People will have very different opinions on that.

I think the only thing to do is put a stick in the spoke of your front wheel.

    Hear me out.

You’re already head over heels, you might as well make it literal. Also, if she comes over to help, out was meant to be. If not, she was probably a terrible person.

Edit: remember - no matter how hot they are, there’s always someone who’s sick and tired of putting up with their shit.

It was in college and I sat down next to her in the library. I did my best to ask her out but she shot me down.

2 years later we were in the same genetics class and I sat down next to her the first day. We ended up being assigned as lab partners much to her dismay. She immediately requested a new partner. Professor told her to “Either work with him or take an F.”

4 weeks later we were counting fruit flies and she invited back to her place for dinner. After dinner she pounced on me (she has a different version of the story).

Couple weeks later the genetics professor caught us in the stairwell kissing before class and about died laughing.

We got married a year later after she graduated. Been married for 25 years now.

I think most people use art, in whatever form they can. Get that out of your system.so it does.not drive you (too) crazy. “Art” can be subjective here 🤣

Appreciate her beauty and remember it is ephemeral. With a few exceptions, all of us look mid at best by 50, let alone 70. Beauty is beautiful to look at. I appreciate beauty, but I wouldn’t trade my wife for the most beautiful woman in the world.

My uncle has a way of putting this: no matter how great a woman is, someone, somewhere, is sick of her shit. I generously assume he also meant for that to apply with the genders reversed.
