    Most alcoholic beverages.

The only one that is both awful, people acknowledge it is awful, but they still drink it a lot is malort. Fucking love that the best endorsement of malort is “this is the worst tasting thing in the world. Try it.”

Any beverage with High Fructose Corn Syrup. It’s not actually sweet like sugar to my taste buds, it has a really bitter after taste, extremely sharp. I can always tell when it’s not real sugar in a beverage.

I’m quite surprised nobody has mentioned Scotch. It’s revered by old dudes, with super expensive, hard to find bottles only pulled out for the most special occasions. No matter how expensive the bottle it always tastes like it came staight out of Sasquatch’s butthole

I’m just gonna go ahead and be the guy that says… all alcohols.

I’ve tried beer, wine, tequila, vodka, hard liquors, spirits, fruity drinks, creamy drinks, coffee flavored rum, hard seltzer, hard cider, champagne, you name it. They don’t all taste horrible-- coffee (even though I don’t usually drink it) and fruit flavored drinks can be acceptable-- but I haven’t ever tried a single drink that tastes good because it has alcohol, it’s always because the alcohol is overpowered by something else. Just give me the something else please.

Some people notice the taste of alcohol a lot more, and when you’re younger it’s also the case of it being more distinct. I’ll say as someone who does like to drink their alcohol, if you don’t like it, please don’t force yourself into it. If anything you may be able to serve as the DD for friends who like to have a few drinks while out.

Kombucha, I can’t stand the taste but people who like it seem to be obsessed with it. It’s good for making vegan leather with though.

Possibly not liking the former is due to not liking the latter. I’ve never liked the taste of plain milk. I use it in cooking. I drink chocolate milk a couple of times a year. I’ve not drunk plain cow milk more than a couple of times in my life and didn’t like it. I threw up when quite young (preschool/daycare) to cereal with milk on it and again when I was like 6-8ish when my then-new stepfather tried to make me eat it. That probably didn’t help anything.

Chocolate milk has tons of sugar in it.

Try different fat contents of milk. Fat free is like water, full fat is much thicker. Of course I find milk doesn’t really taste like anything.

If matcha wasn’t basically the new boba (at least in the West), trendy and whatnot among the girlies, people would admit it’s just grass + whatever else is in the drink (and it’s not the grass but the rest which makes it enjoyable). Or maybe it really does taste great but only for half of the Western world, idk, but it hasn’t been my experience (and my wife hates it too so there are always exceptions, lol).

It’s Christmas, alcohol in custard is the least boozy thing on offer. Brandy butter on Christmas pudding with brandy on fire with a glass of Bailey’s, and that’s just boxing day breakfast

Monster energy drinks. Tastes like what I imagine dumpster juice is like.

And any drink with Stevia in it. Instant dealbreaker if I see it in the ingredients.

I’ve tried a lot, and never really liked any of them, but I thought Monster was the best tasting of the energy drinks. Red Bull was by far the WORST energy drink I’ve ever had.

I’d say that, even aside from anything specific to Monster, most carbonated beverages are optimized for drinking cold and aren’t great when warm.

Fair enough. Tho there’s something about the smell that just permeates a car after you open Monster if you don’t immediately toss it when empty. Not that I’m even a fan of the flavor anymore. Liked it when I was in high school, but can’t stand it as an adult.

Fuck you, dr pepper is amazing. Anyone who says other wise just has bad taste.

Its super unhealthy, id say herion is healthy. But that doesn’t stop a good fountain drink from hitting that exact spot on the taste buds.

Someone already said beer, so I’ll go with wine. I’ve tried it several times. Both red and white. All disgusting.

I’ll take straight gin or vodka over wine.

Most regular energy drinks. Red Bull and regular Monster taste like battery acid to me. Remember NOS? That too. Also Rockstar. All battery acid.

The flavored variants can be better though.

I love V8. My dad always had it in the fridge when I was a kid so I grew up drinking it, although I’ve since learned that opinions on V8 can heavily differ.

It also just hit me you’re probably talking about V8 Energy. Yes I like that. It tastes like juice to me.

I’ll go one step further and say, most energy drinks in general.

It’s not even so much the flavor as it is the chalky texture and aftertaste that just about every one of them seems to have. I’m not sure if they’re all powder-based or what, but there’s a residual feeling left on my tongue that I can’t stand.
